Abstract:

The book is devoted to the history of the Moscow literary and artistic association “Free Aesthetics Society”, which has so far remained on the periphery of research interest. Founded in 1906 by Valery Bryusov, the Society existed until 1917 and brought together many prominent figures in literature, fine arts, theater and music, playing a significant role in the cultural life of Moscow. The book consists of an introductory article, an events chronicle, complete surviving minutes and a biographical dictionary of the Society members.
