Abstract:
The visual heritage of Mikhail V. Le Dantu in its present composition once forces us to pay attention to two polychrome constructions of the female image. This feminine image is fully displayed in both portraits. Every time it consists of a solid and decisive outline of character and an expressive memorable silhouette of the psyche, which, of course, affects once and for all the found modeling of the hairstyle, the immutability of the ladies’ attire (say, its color and cut, etc.), along with the irrevocability of bodily plasticity, unconsciously combined with architectural and plastic surroundings. The portrait image (especially taken in watercolor) insistently pushes the idea of the presence of a biographical component in the portrait.
