Abstract:

The article highlights the problems of state-legal regulation of language relations in a multinational Russia, as well as new trends in Russian language legislation and prospects for its development, taking into account the new geopolitical situation in the world in the light of the new fundamental documents approved by the President of the Russian Federation on Russia’s humanitarian policy at home and abroad. Special attention is paid to strengthening the position of the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation, as the language of interethnic communication, preservation and development of all languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation in the legislation of the Russian Federation.
