Abstract:

This article is devoted to the epistolary heritage of M.N. Muravyov. 37 letters of the poet to his sister F.N. Muravyova and her husband S.M. Lunin are introduced into scientific circulation and commented on. The publication is based on materials of the State Historical Museum Department of Written Sources. Filled with historical, cultural and literary details, these letters allow us to approach the reconstruction of Muravyov’s literary biography. Among the writers Muravyov mentions are Ya.B. Knyazhnin, G.R. Derzhavin, G. Fielding, S. Richardson, L. Stern, and J.J. Rousseau.
