Abstract:

The article illuminates the topic “Dostoevsky and Nietzsche” with the help of a critical analysis of philological works and an appeal to the facts, the philological foundation that we have for the very formulation of the question of reception, namely Friedrich Nietzsche’s statements about Dostoevsky, publications that he read judging on these sayings. The article proves that this foundation is largely based on F. Nietzsche’s reception of Notes from Underground.
